The incorporation of fillers into polymer composite materials has become a crucial method for enhancing the properties and performance of polymers for a wide range of applications. This paper reviews the various methods used to introduce fillers into polymer matrices, focusing on techniques that improve filler dispersion, interaction, and overall material characteristics. Common methods include melt blending, solution blending, in situ polymerization, and direct mixing. Each method's advantages and limitations are discussed in relation to the compatibility, processing conditions, and desired final properties of the composite. The choice of method significantly influences the filler distribution, polymer-filler interaction, and mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties of the resulting composite.
