QUANTUM TECHNOLOGIES: EMERGENCE AND DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

In recent years, quantum technologies have become one of the most rapidly growing fields in science. These technologies rely on the strange yet powerful principles of quantum mechanics. In this paper, I discuss how quantum technologies appeared, how they are developing, and in what directions they are being used today. I focused mainly on three areas: quantum computing, quantum communication, and quantum sensing. This paper is based on my independent research using reliable sources from recent years.
