The global demand for piping systems with superior performance, longevity, and environmental sustainability has driven the development of innovative plastic pipe technologies. Traditional materials such as polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene (PE), and polypropylene (PP) have been widely used in various sectors, including water supply, gas distribution, sewage management, and industrial processes. However, recent advances have introduced new types of plastic pipes with enhanced mechanical, chemical, and thermal properties. These include cross-linked polyethylene (PEX), multi-layer composite pipes (MLCP), high-density polyethylene (HDPE) with nano-fillers, and bio-based biodegradable plastics. This study explores the development, performance, and applications of these new plastic pipe types by analyzing recent material innovations, production technologies, and field implementations
