Abstract

This article explores various methods used to detect casting defects in bearing components manufactured through foundry processes. The quality of cast bearings is crucial for their performance and longevity. The study discusses common defect types, such as porosity, shrinkage cavities, and inclusions, and evaluates modern detection techniques, including visual inspection, ultrasonic testing, radiographic analysis, and dye penetrant testing. Emphasis is placed on non-destructive methods that allow accurate defect identification without damaging the part.
